For 12 years, we, Kymia and Alba of Duo Kermani Gentili, have been making music together, focusing on performing the most renowned pieces for clarinet and piano as well as rediscovering marginalized works, with a special emphasis on female composers. More information can be found in our repertoire list.
A highlight of our work to date is the successful Polish project “Berge unterwegs zum Mond” in 2024. Our CDs “Invocation” (2022) and “Ode an die Rhapsodie” (2018) have also received widespread acclaim. We are proud to have received support from prominent foundations such as the German Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM), the Rusch Foundation, the Musikfonds, the German Music Council, and the Mamlok Foundation.
Our music has taken us to numerous countries across Europe, where we have captivated audiences with our passion, virtuosity, and engaging presentations.
The press has praised us for our “precision and clarity, beautiful tone colors, fiery temperament – all delivered with polished technique.”
In addition to our concerts, we are also committed to outreach work, including our project “Kennst DU Brahms?”, which introduces classical music to young people.
